We Worship You, O God

Father I straightforwardly acknowledge Jesus' place as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of my life. I belong to Him and not to myself. I surrender myself in obedience to Your will. “This is the love for God: to obey His commands.” 1 John 5:13 Fear God keep His commandments, for these are the whole duty of man.” Eccl 12:13

Father, I sense Your calling me to an unremitting life-long quest to know You and to be in right relationship with You. For as a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. I long for Your companionship and a longing to be with You to hear Your voice. I want more of You, O God, and less of me; I want more of Your presence, more of Your love and Holy Spirit.

I worship You as the unique & Immutable One True God, who has always existed and will always exist in Three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You are the transcendent God, You are not part of the creation, but You exist over and above creation.

I worship You as the Omnipotent and Omniscient God of the Universe. I worship You as the indwelling God, not withstanding Your transcendence; You remain involved in Your creation. You provide for us, You love us without favoritism, You guide us and respond to our prayers and You supernaturally affect Your purpose here in earth.

I worship You as the God who teaches us what sin is and what is Your will through Your two-testament Word, the Bible.

I worship You for sending Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus, “One in being with You,” to teach us how we should live and He willingly went to the Cross to be crucified as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

I worship You as the God who has prepared a place in heaven for those of us who believe in Jesus and who put their faith in Jesus sacrifice.

No one can ever be made right in Your sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of Your laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren’t obeying them; Your laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners. (Rom. 3:20)

You have shown us a different a way to heaven –not by “being good enough and trying to keep Your laws”, but by a new way. Your Word says, “You will accept and acquit us, declare us, ‘not guilty’ – if we trust Your Son, Jesus Christ to take away our sins.”

You sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all Your anger against us. You used Christ’s blood and our faith as a means of saving us from wrath. Our acquittal is not based on our good deeds; it is based on what Christ Jesus has done and on our faith in Him.  So it is that we are saved by faith in Christ Jesus and not by the good things we do. Hallelujah!  (Romans 3)

Father, I am no longer satisfied knowing You imperfectly, or the peace of You scarcely. I am hungry O God, for Your manifested presence in my life. I no longer want to worship You in shallowness of my inner experience, or hollowness of my heart. I want to worship You as Elohim, Jehovah God of the Universe. I want to lift up my heart to You with a meek stirring of love for the God that made me, bought and graciously called me to salvation. I want to worship Thee as the Most High God.

Lord, I remove the world's possessions and thoughts from the temple of my heart, so You might reign freely and unchallenged. I want to be a woman wholly surrendered; a woman utterly obedient and a woman who possess nothing. I want to concentrate my all to You. I want the treasures of my heart to be inward and eternal. I turn over my gifts and talents to You for they are not my own, they are only on loan from You. "For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what has thou that those did'st receive."  (1 Cor 4:7)

Lord I come to You determined to be heard, accept my all and take things out of my heart and You reign there instead.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." (Rev. 4:11)     You formed me for Your pleasure, You meant for me to see You and live with You and draw my life from Your smile.

Hallelujah! I give You praise and honor, O God.

Who can flee from Your presence when the heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You? O manifest Your presence, O God in my life I pray. I am hungry and thirsty.

I will arise and come to Thee, my Father.
