Glorious Father

Glorious Father of my Lord Jesus, I pray that You would give me wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that He has done for me. I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so that I can see something of the future He has called me to share.

Father, I pray that I will begin to understand how incredibly great His power is to help those who believe Him.  May You impart to me the same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at Your right hand in heaven, far, far above any other rule or king – You have put all things under His feet and made Him supreme Head of the Church- which is His body, filled with Himself, the Author and Giver of everything, everywhere. Hallelujah!

O God, I do not have the words to express my joy of thanksgiving for Your mercy and grace for loving me so much that even though I was spiritually dead and doomed by my sins, You gave me back my life again when You raised Christ Jesus from the dead-and its only by His underserved favor that I was saved- He lifted me up from the grave into glory along with Him, where we sit with Him in the heavenly realm-all because of His great love for me. He gave up His life blood on the cross- Well Glory!

You can now point to us as examples of how very, very rich Your kindness is, as shown in all that You have done for me through Jesus Christ.

What joy! What happiness! What peace! What love is afforded to me as I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places. Glory! “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”  The kingdom is within us and as Priest of God we can expect to be healed, protected, delivered, and made whole in Jesus name. Hallelujah – I understand with my heart but my head says, “no way” – But Christ is in me, in the person of the Holy Spirit, so by faith I believe Your Word will do what it says it will do!  I am a member of Your family, a citizen of God’s country, and I belong in Your household with every other Christians. What a foundation I can stand on! We who believe are carefully joined together with Christ as part of a beautiful, constantly growing temple for God. Hallelujah! I am joined with You and with others by the Holy Spirit and we are part of this dwelling place of God.

Lord, when I think of the wisdom and scope of Your plan for mankind I fall down on my knees and lift up my hands to a Holy Father in heaven thanking You, that out of Your glorious, unlimited resources  You will give me the mighty inner strengthening of Your Holy Spirit. I pray that Christ Jesus will be more and more at home in my heart, living within me as I trust in Him. May my roots go down deep into the soil of Your marvelous love; and may I be able to feel and understand how long, how wide, how deep, and how high His love really is; and to experience this love myself, though it is so great that I may never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. But, at last, may I be filled up with God Himself.

Glory be to You, who by Your mighty power at work within me is able to do far more than I would ever dare to ask or even dream of infinitely beyond my highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes- may You be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of Your master plan of salvation for the Church through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen
