Father, I confess that there is not enough power from prayers in
my life. Father, You are not able to do many of the things You
desire to do here on Earth because of my lack of praying. I long
to see Your exceeding, abundant answers over and above anything
I could ask for or think. Lord, I commit myself to spend more
time in prayer daily. Help me to discipline myself to more
actual praying.
(…to Him that is
able to do immeasurably more than all that we ask or imagine.
Eph. 3:20)
Lord, please give me the attitude You want me to have before I
come to You in prayer, as I want to come before You with a clean
mind and hear what You have to say to me. I thank You Lord, for
the privilege of being on my face before You with the needs and
burdens of others. Lord, I really don’t know what the best for
me would be. But, Lord, You know all the “what ifs” and the
outcome. Lord, when hard things and even sufferings come into my
life, I know You will work everything out for my good. Help me
to trust Your guidance in my life. Thank You that You care
enough to answer my prayers in the way You say will be best for
me.
(“So
then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit
themselves to their faithful Christ and continue to do good.” 1
Peter 4:19)
Lord as I ask You to forgive me of my sins, I ask You to forgive
me of my deceptiveness. I may be able to fool people on earth,
but You always know what’s going on inside of me. Father, help
me to see my deceptiveness as You see it—as sin. Open my eyes to
the sins in my life so that I may confess and be pleasing in
Your sight—so that my prayers can be answered. Show me who is
suffering, because of my sinning. Give me the strength and
courage to make restitution to those I have hurt. I thank You
Lord, I can come to You, and ask for forgiveness, knowing that
there is no sin, so great that You will not forgive. Hallelujah!
Lord, as I (we) pray for the spiritual and physical needs of the
ones on our prayer list, I thank You for the strength You have
given me (us) through prayer. Keep me (us) diligent in my (our)
prayers for those I don’t see every day—or may never see at all.
You know their needs, all we do is pray our request and with
Your mighty arm of Power, You reach to those on Planet Earth
with Your answers.
Lord, as I pray believing I will see the results in the
horizontal dimensions of prayer—it is great to see its workings.
Thank You for Your answers to prayer! Your goodness is beyond my
comprehension!
Lord, it is only You who can fill the devastating void left by
severed relationships with children, relatives and friends, only
You can restore the soul. Lord, give me the grace and strength
to restore those who have wronged me. Thank You Lord, that You
are the One who restores me in this difficult task. Lord, help
me to make reconciliation as far as it is possible for me to do.
I promise to pray for those who have despitefully used me. Thank
You, Jesus for insisting on the reconciliation of members of
Your body, so that we could become one, as You are one with the
Father.
“Therefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of
God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is
right. “ 1 Peter 4:19)
Lord, help me to understand that my suffering can be used as a
tool to draw me closer to You.
(“Let us
not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9)
Lord, help me to be as clay—ready and willing to be conformed to
Your will. Teach me to obey Your answers to my prayers, because
I know You are fashioning me into that pot which will glorify
and be used by You.
(“So My Word that goes out
from my mouth: “It will not return to Me empty, but will
accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose
for which I
sent it.” Isaiah
55:11)
Lord, I want to serve You as long as You choose.
(“For I know the plans that
I have for You,” declares the Lord. “plans to prosper You and
not harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.” Jeremiah
29:17)
Lord, I know the plans You have for me are best. Forgive me for
all the times I have stubbornly gone my own way. Teach me to
give back each open door, not to do it, if it is not Your will.
(“Give
thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for You in
Christ Jesus.” )
Thank You, Lord for the privilege of being absolutely dependent
upon You. Father, I want to have an attitude of gratitude in all
things. Give me the maturity to trust You enough to be thankful
while I am praying, not just after You give me Your answers.
Lord increase my faith in Your wisdom. Give me the ability to
discern and the courage to accept Your “no” answers. I want to
follow the path You have prepared for me.
And we know that in all
things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have
been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Dear Lord, Give me the confidence to know that You are using
all things in my life for my good.
Father, I pray Your will be done in my life and in the lives of
my family. I pray Your will be done in my job, my health, my
finances and my home and my service to You. I thank You for
however You choose to answer, knowing it is according to Your
perfect will.
Lord there are many times when I need to be humbled. Give me a
sensitive, loving heart toward those I have hurt and help me not
to take their forgiveness for granted.
Thank You Lord God, for my redemption, for transforming me out
of the state of sin into which I was born, into Your glorious
kingdom.
I thank You for peace, for Your omniscience, and for Jesus blood
that was shed for my sins. Thank You for setting me free. (“if
therefore the Son shall make you free you shall be free
indeed. John 8::36)
I am thankful for the privilege of You teaching me how to pray,
through the prayers You have given me from Your Word.

I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart:
before the ‘gods’ I will sing Your praise
I will bow down toward Your holy temple
and will praise Your holy name
for Your love and faithfulness,
for You have exalted above all things
Your name and Your word.
When I called, You answered me;
You made me bold and stouthearted.
May all the kings of the earth praise
You, O Lord when they hear the words
of Your mouth.
Psalms 138:1-4
