                Grace and Peace

God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I give You praise and glory!

I thank You, Father for Your grace, as it provides enablement for every thing within Your will and Your peace give serenity in every kind of circumstance. Thank you Father, that faith puts me in contact with the eternal spring of love in Yourself. And the necessary consequence is that our hearts are drawn out in love to all who belong to You.

I thank You Father that You allow your saints to go through persecutions and tribulations in order to develop in us the moral excellencies which make us “worthy citizens” of Your kingdom. “…. Which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God…” 2 The. 1:5

Father, I pray that I will be worthy of Your calling, and that Your mighty power will enable me to obey every impulse to do good, and to accomplish every task undertaken in faith.  I pray that I will accurately represent my Lord Jesus to this world and thus bring glory to His name. Then I too will be glorified in Him, that my association with my Lord, my Head, will bring honor to members of His Body. And I can do all according to the grace of My God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Your Word says to trust You for future courage and strength. You love us and, You give us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace. Your greatest exhibition of love to us was the gift of Your Son. Hallelujah! I thank You for Your Son, my Lord Jesus because I know that He settled the sin question at Calvary. We (I) have eternal comfort now and the hope of a glorious future---and it is all through His marvelous grace. Thank You, Jesus!

Father, I pray that You comfort the hearts of my Church family and establish them in every good word and work. Not just encouragement in the midst of distress; but strengthen them to move forward in battle. May our lives be in order of teaching and doing, doctrine and duty, preaching and practice, and  that truth be upon our lips. I pray we as the body of Christ stand behind our pastor and pray for the dissemination of his message; for the triumph of his message; for the preservation of his message; and may the word of the Lord run swiftly through his message.

I thank You Father, that You are faithful. Faithful to confirm us to the end; You are faithful to deliver us out of temptation; You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hallelujah!  And, You are faithful to establish and to guard us from the evil one. “Kept by the power of God through faith….”

1 Peter 1:5

Father, my prayer is that I will love others as You loved us and that I will be steadfast as Christ is steadfast.

I thank You for peace, for the world can not give it or take it away. We must appropriate it in all the circumstances of life, peace is not a cessation from persecution, but the calm of heart that comes from faith in You, and is independent of circumstance.

I thank You for the Comforter…. the Holy Spirit. I thank You that the Holy Spirit helps me in my daily problems and in my prayers, for when I don’t know how or what to pray, You, Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words. And You, Father knows our hearts, knows what the Spirit is saying as He pleads for us in harmony of Your will. Hallelujah!

Because You Lord are my Shepherd, I have everything I need. You let me rest in the meadow grass and You lead me beside the quiet streams. You restore my failing health. You help me to do what honors You the best. Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me, guarding and guiding all the way.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty. The One who was, and is; and is to come. Who lives forever and ever. The blessed and only Almighty God, the King of kings and Lord of lords. I give You Glory and honor for ever and ever. You are the King of the ages, the unseen One who never dies, You alone are God, and full of wisdom. Amen
