Abba
Father, all the possibilities of my human language are
exhausted in setting forth the fullness and perfection of Your
Word. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the
Last! You are every thing of goodness and perfection that can
be expressed by every letter of the alphabet, arranged in
every possible combination. As I read Your Word in Psalms 119
it expresses Your love which Your Son, my Lord experienced
here on earth.
I am blessed and happy when my life is conformed to Your Word. Even when
I sin and fail, there is provision in Your Word for confession
and restoration, and this keeps me in an undefiled condition.
Hallelujah! I give You praise and glory!
As I read Your Word I have a deep enormous desire to please You with my
whole heart. I find that the surest way to abstain from evil
is to be completely occupied with following Your Word in deeds
and actions. Your precepts are not optional but commandments
and they are not to be kept haphazardly but diligently.
Father I acknowledge that the desire to keep Your commandments as well
as the power to be steadfast in obedience must ultimately
comes from You. As long as I keep Your statutes I will be
spared from the shame that tortures the mind, crimsons the
cheek and even at times makes the body squirm.
As I journey with You in prayer and learn to obey Your righteous
ordinances, I become full of joy and that joy leads to a
spontaneous adoration of You. Father I humbly depend on You
for all my needs as I realize my own inadequacies.
With my whole heart I seek You, O God. Do not let me wonder from Your
commandments. The best book in the World is Your Book and the
best place to put it is in my heart. The best reason for
putting it there is that is saves me from sinning against You.
There is a deep delight in the treasures of Your Word that
inevitably gives me the desire to share it with others. There
are many nuggets of gold in Your Scriptures. Your Word
provides endless resource material for the most satisfying
meditations.
Your commandments are not burdensome!
"Whoever is born of God will delight in the statures
of the Lord and determine to keep them in constant
remembrance." (1John 5:3) Without You, O God, I can do nothing. I need Your grace for living and
also for obeying Your Word. I ask for Your plenteous grace, O
Lord for my needs are so great.
Open my eyes to see Your wondrous, spiritual goodies, which are hidden
by the casual glance. Your Word, O God is like a road map that
guides me unerringly to my destination. My soul thirsts O
Lord, for Your Word and I find strength and solace in
meditating on Your Word. When others speak harshly to me,
Your Word is my counselor and it counsels me to bear it
patiently and commit the cause to You. Hallelujah! Thank You
Abba Father for Your Word!
Father life has its valleys as well as its mountaintops. So even when I
am cast down in sorrow, I know I can call on You to revive me
through the restoring power of Your word.
I thank You that when I make an open confession of my sins; You answer
me by forgiving. This leads me to a renewed desire for
holiness, as expressed by prayer, “Lord, teach me Your
statues." I need to understand the meaning of Your precepts so
I can apply them practically to my life and then it will lead
me to meditate on Your wonderful works.
In the dark spots of life when my soul melts in tears, You the God of
all comfort, bends low and often with a single verse of
Scripture lifts me and strengthen me to go on. Your commands
must be set before us as a mark to aim at, the model to work
by and the road to walk in.
Father, I try hard to adhere to Your testimonies, but I realize I still
have the proneness to wonder, and I cry to You in conscious
dependence. That when You give me a big heart, not a big head
and then I hasten to keep Your commandments.
Father I pray for Your instructions. I am eager to learn how to
translate Your precepts into practice and I am determined to
obey Your Word to the end of my life.
I pray for understanding. I want the righteousness of Your word and of
their meaning and obligations. How else can I follow You with
undivided devotedness?
I pray for guidance. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. Guide my
feet in the path of Your will, because that is the only way in
which I will be truly happy.
I pray for spiritual rather than material enrichments. "Godliness
with contentment is great gain." (1 Tim. 6:6) Father its Your miracle of grace that takes the love of
money from man and replaces it with a love for Your Word.
I pray for divine realities, not shadows. Turn away my eyes from looking
at worthless things. O Lord I pray that You would establish
Your promises, "All the rivers of thy grace I claim; over
every promise write my name."
Father I pray to be kept from reproach, from anything that would bring
shame or dishonor on Your name. For Your judgments are good; I
need to follow them faithfully. Father, I pray for personal
revival. "The parched ground shall become a pool, and the
thirsty land springs of water." (Isaiah 35:7) Your word says
if I burn and long for Your precepts, You will revive me in
Your righteousness.
Father, I am dependent on Your compassion and protection so I claim Your
promises to care for and keep me day by day. My faith is based
on Your Word, which never fails. May I never be afraid or
ashamed to speak the Word of Truth. How else can I give my
best for You and live for You completely after all You have
done for Me. Lord keep me teachable by Your Holy Spirit.

Abba
Father, Lord Jesus I am hot after Your heart, I don’t just want
the blessings; I want the Blesser. I want You to come close. I
want You to touch my eyes, touch my heart, touch my ears and
change me Lord. I’m tired of me the way I am ---I want to be
changed, break me; bring me to such a place of tenderness that
it doesn’t take a hurricane-force wind from Heaven for me to
know You are present. I want to be so tender that the gentlest
breeze from heaven, the smallest zephyr from Your presence, will
set my heart a-dancing, and recognize and say, “Its You!”
Father, I
repent of designing services that men like, instead I yield to
what You like. Your word says, it’s death through repentance
and brokenness that ushers in Your presence and causes me to
draw near to You and yet live. The Bible says, “When a sinner
repents, the angels rejoice.” (Luke
15:10)
Death and repentance on earth brings about joy in the
heavenlies. Father, I want to become free for You. I willingly
lay down my life to take up my cross to follow You. Lord,
whatever it takes, I lay myself on the altar and ask You to
consume me with Your Holy fire. I want to set myself on fire
and let the people see me burn!
Father, I
pray that I will always use Your gifts to me for the body of
Christ and for the work of the ministry.
Father, I do
not want to play games anymore or pretend to be something I’m
not—I want Your glory to break out of the four walls of my
church to flow through the streets of our cities. I want to
pursue Your presence—I do not want anyone to stand between us, I
want to enter into Your Holy Presence. I long for Your sweet
fellowship. I want an intimate walk with the Father, the Son and
Holy Spirit.
I want to
come fully into Your presence. I want to reach out and grasp and
receive everything You have for me today and everyday. I want to
grow into a relationship with You, no matter what it cost me. I
desire to walk in the freshness of what You have for me every
day. Show me Your glory! I want You to deal with me personally
and directly.
Father, I
have a hunger and a desperation for You, I’m tired of everybody
else hearing from You, I want to hear from a personal God-I want
to hear You for myself! I want Your love notes to be freshly
written on my heart—pull me closer to You in a new level of
intimacy, O God. O God, I seek You, the Reviver, not revival! I
want to have an intimate, close encounter with You. Invade my
home ( invade my church) with Your abiding Presence in a way
that will make every visitor begin to weep with wonder and
worship the moment they enter.
Lord, I put
on the ring of commitment to become Your bride, not a
girlfriend; one who will stick with you. I pledge myself to You,
Lord. I want an intimate knowledge of the living God.
I want to
experience a thick blanket of Your tangible presence so heavy
that I will receive an up-close and personal understanding of
what is meant by Your word when it says, “And it came to pass
when the priest were come out of the holy place, that the cloud
filled the house of the Lord. -----So that the priest could not
stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the
Lord had filled the house of the Lord. (1
Kings
8:10-11)
I want to tremble in the fear of Your presence. O God I want to
live under the shadow of Your glory!
Father, my
hunger is too deep for one meal to satisfy me. I’m after more
than one visitation; I want Your visitation to become
habitation. I want Your present presence to be here. Lord God, I
am here to meet with You, teach me how to handle holy things of
Your presence. Have mercy on me, Lord Jesus. Restore my respect
and awe for Your glory and the things that are holy. I want to
carry Your presence with me, to dwell with You in intimate
communion, so slay the flesh in me.
Father I
want Your anointing and the power of Your presence to come upon
me so strongly that Your presence will literally go before me
into my office, and shopping malls. Because Your glory and
presence cannot be contained within the four walls of the
church—Your glory must flow out into the world.
Father take
me through the complete process of repentance and brokenness
without me hindering or quenching Your Spirit. So when Your
weighty presence comes upon me then I will be able to carry it
without fear because, I will be walking in the purity of Jesus
and my flesh will be dead, covered by the blood of the Lamb.
Lord whatever it takes, because nothing is worth holding on to
so hard that I cannot hold on to You.
Yes Lord!
Just send wave after wave of Your glory until it has literally
floods everything. May all that is not of You just be washed
away down stream-Rain Jesus, Reign!

Abba Father, I
come before You a sinner saved by the grace and the shed blood
of Jesus Christ, thanking you for forgiving me of pride of
ancestry, pride of orthodoxy; pride of activity and pride of
morality. I confess self-love; self- pride, and self-ambition
and I ask to be delivered from all self-righteousness of
pride. Lord keep my eyes open to the risen Savior, not self.
These are all worthless when compared to the excellence of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord. I thank You for the
garment of righteousness You provide for me, Lord Jesus by
Your blood. I thank You I can come to Your throne room without
fear of death but through Your righteousness I can enter into
Your presence. Hallelujah! I give You praise and glory! "He
(God) made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that
we might become righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Father I
have an inner longing for fellowship with You that can be
compared to the vehement craving of the deer as it wanders
through the parched countryside, its sides throbbing and its
breathing quickened as it longs for the brook. My thirst is
for You alone, no one else will do; I thirst for the living
God--not for a dead idol. The desire O God can only be fully
satisfied by a personal appearing before the Lord and the
privilege of gazing upon Your face. O Let Your glory come
down. Lord I just want to be in Your presence. I am thirsty
and hungry for Your glory and power.
Lord I
need Your presence, whatever it takes, wherever it comes from,
I must have You. Do not pass me by. "…. I saw water coming
out from under the threshold of the temple…" (Ezek. 47:1)
O let Your glory fall upon me, O God!
Father, I
desire the power of Christ resurrection, which Your word says
is available to all believers in Ephesians 1:19. It is my
ambition to experience this power in my life and testimony. I
want to live the crucified life, to die practically to sin,
self and the world. I am willing to abide in You, Lord so I
can bear fruit.
My supreme
desire is the knowledge of Your glory--I have an intense
longing to reach You in the place where You are. Continue Your
work in me Lord, forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forward to those things which are ahead, namely: the
privilege and responsibilities of living the Christian life,
whether worship, service, or the personal development of my
Christian character. I want to achieve the goal for the prize
of the upward call of You in my Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord
reveal Your truths to me, for I am willing to follow them.
While I wait for You to reveal the full implication of the
cross to me, I will obey whatever degree of truth I have
already received. Father do for me what Your Son did for Paul,
let me become a pattern to all future believers.
