Father, I want to be a dead man walking –I want to die to self and selfish motives that give no thought for tomorrow or the fulfilling of personal desire of the hope of riches on earth. Your opinion is the only opinion that counts. I want to present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You.

 

Lord, I ask You for listening ears to hear Your still small voice. I want those nuggets of gold or pearls of special value that comes from every word that proceeds from Your mouth –Your word says, “that man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that proceedeth our of Your mouth.” Holy Spirit, teach me to hear Your voice as I read the Living Word.

 

Lord, I want to hear Your still small voice, I would like to stop striving in the flesh and rest in Your strength. I want a humble heart and a contrite spirit that will in no way cast out of Your presence. Speak to me, Lord, and help me to be still and receive Your Words. Help me to hear every syllable that You would speak to me and help me to follow Your every command.

 

I don’t want to waiver in doubt and unbelief…but I want to become a person of faith and love.  Remove from me any hindrances, anything that would keep me from hearing You, Lord.
