Daily Manna from the 'Net -

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the

Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 1 Corinthians 3:11-14 NIV

Build Your House On Solid Rock

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

Lord, we want more than anything for our house to be built upon solid Rock. Lord help us to overcome apathy and procrastination that keep us from studying Your Word. Father, You may have free reign to adjust what You see in our lives to fit the precepts of Your teachings so when the storms of life come we can stand on Your absolute promise that our lives will not collapse. Reinforce our walls with fresh sheet rock –the rock of Your Word; then nail a few shingles to our roofs, and wet cement that hardens beneath our feet. The storm may come, but our house which is founded on Your Word will stand. Your Word is life and security to us.

Your Word kindles faith, awakening our mortal heart to a brush of immortality, receiving Your divine love into our hearts. Your love is selfless, sacrificial and it’s Your gift to us.  Your love is laughter to our souls. You wait and watch for moments to stretch forth Your hand and unfold grand surprises –Your love breaks the cynic’s heart and un-mashes the façade of the most mature, leaving it’s captives jumping up and down like children,

Lord, we thank You for Your presence in our lives. Teach us to practice Your presence as we enter into our quite time and get into Your Word. Reframe our minds to focus on You no matter what our day brings. Bring Your Word to life for us. I thank You that You, Yourself is working in our lives and that You are thoroughly interested and involved in every single part of our lives-spirit-soul and body. May we continue to let Your peace rule in our lives and sanctify us through and through. Thank You for the way You made us and for Your faithfulness to sanctify us through and through –We love You so much.

Father, You are worthy of all our faith and hope. We depend on You, because Your faithfulness is perfect. We can have complete confidence in Your character because Your Word tell me You are truthful and unchanging. Manifest Your fullness within us so that we may walk with You and please You all our life.

Father, Your Word say, “Come to Me, make it a practice to approach Me over and over again, so that when You are ready to pour out a fresh work, the way will be clear.” O God, help us to clear away any debris standing in Your way that would hinder You doing a powerful work in our lives. Father, we pray that the path between us would become clearer and clearer by the day. Ready us for Your powerful works, so that we may be a display of Your splendor. Praise be to Your glorious name!

Precious Lord, thank You for the power that Your Word contains. You are so much greater than anything else!  I pray O God, You would help us to discern areas of falsehood in our lives. Help us to renounce and reject secrecy, shame, deception and distortion of scripture. Show us where these things are taking place in our lives. We love You, Lord and we rejoice in the power You desire to release in our lives with Your Truths.
