Search Me O God

God, You have searched me and known me! Words and deed, thoughts and motives, You know me inside out. You know when I sit down to relax and when I rise up to engage in varied activities of life. You know what I am thinking and even anticipate my thoughts. You see me when I walk and when I sit down. You keep constant watch over me, Hallelujah!  What a glorious God You are. You know my future as well as my past and  I am completely open to You.

“And there is no creature hidden from Your sight, but all things  are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Heb 4:13) Because Your knowledge of me is so inconceivably absolute, You guard me behind and before. Your hand is ever and always laid protectively upon me. Thank  You Lord, for Your love and protection.

Not only are You omniscient, You are omnipresent as well, how you can be in all places at one time boggles my mind; You word teaches me that You are a Person who is separate and distinct  from Your creation. There is no place I can hide from You. “If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”  The wings of the morning are an allusion to the rays of the morning sun that streak across the heavens from east to the west and I would find You there waiting to guide and uphold me. O Father, how marvelous Your love for me. Me! A lowly sinner, You gave up your Son for me. I thank You Jehovah God of the Universe for my salvation. You, O God are absolutely  inescapable, “Your center is everywhere; Your circumference is nowhere.”

“You formed my inward parts, You covered me in my mothers womb.” As I think about all the parts of my body, the brain, with its capacity for recording facts, sounds, odors, sights, touch, pain, and the ability to recall, powers to make computations, with its seemingly endless flair for making decisions and solving problems. All the trillion cells, and thousands of nerve fibers, blood vessels, bones, joints, ligaments and muscles, WOW! I am fearfully and wonderfully made. To think You  gave me thought before You put me into my mother’s womb is overwhelming. The wonder of it all; You pre-thought my existence, knowing ahead of time what my failures would be, yet, You Lord God Jehovah still loved me enough to give up Your life for me.

You were with me before You put me into my mother’s womb and You were with me the nine months she carried me, and You are with me today. Hallelujah! You are still my Lord, my Sustainer, Protector, and Guide.  O Mighty God, thoroughly  search me and know my heart, to carefully test and know my thoughts, and anxieties. Expose every wicked way in order that I may confess my sins and forsake them. Lead me in the way of everlasting. “the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son cleanses me from all sin.” (1 JN 1:7) I thank You that the cleansing from sin I experience will reach to the heights and depths of my Spirit, If I will “walk in the light as He is in the light” (1:7) The same Spirit that fed You, Lord Jesus will feed the life of my Spirit. Thank You, Sweet Jesus. “May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless…..” (1 Thess. 5:23)

Father, I want to be a living sacrifice  to let You have all my strength, that have been saved and sanctified through Jesus. (Romans 12:1)

You are the God of the morning, and God of the late nights; the God of the mountains peaks; and the God of the seas; and the God whom I put all my trust and faith in. Hallelujah!

I praise You, Yahweh God of the Universe. Amen
