O Lord, what
place can be compared in loveliness to the dwelling place of God. It is a place
of unparalleled beauty, unique in splendor an unutterable glory. O God, my soul
longs, yes even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out
to Thee. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house-
Oh I am like a
swallow, restless, and darting and soaring on the air currents, sojourning in
the wilderness - longing to find a resting place for my soul. Blessed are those
who dwell in Your housel they are ever praising Thee.
How blessed is
the man whose strength is in You, in whose hearts are the highway to
Zion!
This world is not our home, though we are in it, we are not of it. Our heart is
set on pilgrimage.
O God, as I
pass through the Valley of weeping I will convert it into spring – even in the
midst of sorrow I will trace the rainbow through tragedies into triumphs and
use misfortunes as stepping stones to greater things of heaven.
You, O God,
are my shield, You r Holy Spirit my comfort and my teacher, He refreshes me,
providing pools of cool clear water for my soul, food for my spirit man giving
me strength to endure
O Lord of
Host, hear my prayer- You are sovereign over the vast multitudes of angels
beings, You are infinitely high but also intimately nigh – behold my shield and
look upon the face of your anointed – A day in Your courts is better than a
thousand elsewhere, I simply cannot conceive the glory, the joy, the beauty,
the freedom of being where You are.
The Lord God
is a sun providing illumination in my darkest hour and my shield of protection
against my enemies. You give me grace along the way for every time of need, and
then You will give glory at the end of my journey as You welcome me into Your
eternal home.
O blessed is
the man who trusts in You! So come Lord Jesus, I pray.
Your servant, Susie
